Melting
Your baby-oiled skin melts into mine,
like butter on hot toast we seep,
our souls sliding to oblivious ecstasy:-
tongue throb, nose twitch
our hair knotted in lust,
mouths sucking in the new world
that, like Greek Gods
we have created for ourselves.
Then, If I am Zeus
you are Aphrodite.
I worship at your temples,
pay homage to the contours
of your neck,
the effervescence of your spirit
washes me like a spring
of life
a rebirth.
I am your Lazarus,
your phoenix.
out of the fires of oblivious love
I have grown anew
spread my Renaissance wings,
wrapped them
like a lover's blanket about you.
You who have kissed a thousand smiles
upon my once dry lips
which now hang, waiting
for a fat tongue and a slim waist
to embrace. This is what you have done.
You are my Eve,
my - dare I say it - destiny.
You are Venus on the cusp
of Taurus; sugar in coffee,
the thunder and lightning
that makes a storm a storm.
Then, mother my children,
rock my aging soul to sleep
cradle me whilst I die
and bury me, forever
in your beautiful heart.
